By Mary Rose Gullet, MSW, RCSWI — Founder, Honey’s Mini Therapy Adventures.
This November, our team at Honey’s Mini Therapy Adventures had the incredible honor of traveling from Florida to Verona, Italy, to participate in Fieracavalli 2025, one of the most prestigious equine events in the world. We were invited to present on Animal-Assisted Interventions (AAI) — sharing how miniature horses are making a profound impact on emotional wellness and mental health across hospitals, schools, and behavioral health centers in the United States.
Our collaboration with Mini Pony Summano exemplifies what’s possible when passion meets purpose. Their ponies, raised with patience and heart, reflect the same principles that guide therapy horses in our program: empathy, trust, and partnership. Through this experience, we’ve built not only international partnerships but lifelong friendships that will continue to grow and inspire future global initiatives.
Returning home, we carry renewed gratitude and a greater vision — one where miniature horses bring healing across continents. From Florida to Italy and beyond, the impact of these gentle ambassadors proves that sometimes the smallest horses leave the largest hoofprints on the world.
